Does this sound like your shoulder?
Sometimes shoulder pain starts small.
You stop doing one exercise. Sleep on the other side. Reach a little differently. And slowly, you realize how much you've started working around it.
Common symptoms include:
-
Pain reaching overhead or behind your back
-
Pain lifting or carrying something
-
Aching or throbbing at night
-
Difficulty sleeping on the affected side
-
Weakness in the shoulder or arm
-
Stiffness or decreased range of motion
-
Clicking, catching, or grinding
-
Pain during golf, pickleball, tennis, or weightlifting
-
Pain that keeps returning despite physical therapy, cortisone, or rest
Sometimes the biggest sign isn't how much it hurts. It's how much you've stopped doing because of it.
What may be causing your shoulder pain?
Rotator Cuff Problems
The muscles and tendons of the rotator cuff help stabilize and move your shoulder. Degeneration, overuse, or injury can lead to pain, weakness, and difficulty lifting your arm.
Shoulder Osteoarthritis
As cartilage within the shoulder changes and wears over time, movement can become painful or stiff, sometimes with grinding or loss of motion.
Tendinitis & Tendinosis
Shoulder tendons can become irritated or develop degenerative changes from repetitive movement, sports, lifting, age, or previous injury.
Bursitis & Impingement
Inflammation or compression of structures around the shoulder can cause pain, particularly when reaching or lifting overhead.
AC Joint & Biceps Tendon Pain
Arthritis, repetitive stress, or injury can affect the AC joint and biceps tendon and contribute to pain in different areas of the shoulder.
Labral Tears & Structural Injuries
Labral tears, significant rotator cuff tears, instability, fractures, and other structural injuries require careful evaluation.

Where does regenerative medicine fit?
If you've already tried rest, physical therapy, anti-inflammatory medications, cortisone, or other conservative treatments, you may be wondering what comes next.
For some patients, regenerative medicine may be an option worth exploring.
Regenerative treatments use biologic therapies as part of an effort to support the biological environment within and around injured or degenerative tissue.
But there's an important distinction: Regenerative medicine isn't one treatment.
PRP isn't the same as an exosome product. Exosomes aren't stem cells. Cellular products aren't all the same.
And the right approach depends on what we're actually treating.
The question isn't “Which injection should I get?”
It's “What's causing my pain, and what treatment makes sense for it?”

WHY NEOWELL REGEN
We don't have one shoulder injection.
We have treatment options.
At NeoWell Regen, we have access to several regenerative products and protocols. What we recommend depends on the condition we're treating, the degree of degeneration, your previous treatment history, overall health, and your goals.
That may include different biologic or cellular approaches depending on your individual case.
And sometimes our recommendation is not to treat you.
If your shoulder appears too structurally compromised, your condition falls outside what we believe regenerative treatment can reasonably address, or we believe you need a different type of specialist, we'll tell you.
Because the goal isn't to sell you an injection.
The goal is to help you make a better decision about your shoulder.

REAL PATIENT STORY
He couldn't pick up his daughter.
Dr. Kurup, Medical Director of NeoWell Regen, came in with a labral tear in his shoulder.
His shoulder pain had reached the point where something as simple and important as picking up his daughter had become difficult.
He underwent regenerative treatment at NeoWell Regen.
That was seven years ago. He hasn't needed another shoulder injection since.
Individual results vary. Patient story shared with permission.
What treatment actually looks like
It starts with a conversation, not an injection.
1
We understand the problem
We talk through your symptoms, diagnosis, previous treatments, imaging when available, health history, and importantly, what your knee is keeping you from doing.
2
We determine candidacy
Not every patient is a regenerative medicine candidate. We look at the type and extent of joint damage and whether we believe treatment is reasonable for your particular situation.
3
We build your treatment plan
If you're a candidate, we'll explain what we're recommending, what is being used, why we've selected it, the treatment sequence, cost, and what you can realistically expect.
4
We follow your progress
Regenerative treatment isn't an overnight fix. Response occurs over time, and we follow your progress rather than treating the injection as the end of the relationship.

Does shoulder pain automatically mean surgery?
No.
But avoiding surgery at all costs shouldn't be the goal either.
Regenerative treatment may be worth exploring when:
You have chronic shoulder pain
Arthritis or degenerative changes are present
Tendon degeneration is contributing to your symptoms
Pain is related to repetitive activity or overuse
Conservative treatments haven't provided enough improvement
You want to explore non-surgical options
Orthopedic or surgical care may make more sense if:
You have a significant full-thickness tendon tear
Your shoulder is unstable or repeatedly dislocates
You have a fracture or major structural injury
Joint degeneration is advanced
A damaged structure requires mechanical repair
COMMON QUESTIONS
The question everyone asks
START HERE
Before you decide what to do with your shoulder, understand it.
You don't need another person promising you that one treatment fixes everything.
You need to know what your options are, which ones make sense for your shoulder, and what you can realistically expect.
That's what the consultation is for.
